Schlunegger said the finished book is his own style and not particularly
modeled after authors whose work he admires. However, he said he believed
in a statement by Ernest Hemingway, who said, “good writers
should read good writers a lot.”
He said his objective was to create a book that was fluid and easy
to read, and he hopes he has achieved that. A second novel –
which could be read either as a sequel or independently of All’
Acqua – has passed the first draft stage.
“It’s not continuing the story but readers will recognize
some of the characters,” Schlunegger said.
The official launch of “All’ Acqua” is planned for
Saturday evening at Inn of the Hills, where Schlunegger will be present
to sign copies of the book. The event begins at 6 p.m. and will conclude
at 7 p.m.
